Carolyn A. Galgano

Carolyn A. Galgano joined the firm in the fall of 2015. She received a J.D. summa cum laude from New York Law School in 2014 where she was a Dean’s Scholar, a John Marshall Harlan Scholar, an affiliate of the Institute for Information Law & Policy and served as Features Editor for the New York Law School Law Review. Ms. Galgano was a finalist for the Trustee’s Prize for the Highest Average and was the recipient of the Milton S. Gould Award for Proficiency in the Law of Contracts. While in law school, Ms. Galgano served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John G. Koeltl, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Upon graduation from law school, she joined Debevoise & Plimpton as a litigation associate.

Ms. Galgano's trademark practice includes the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications both domestically and internationally, searching and determining the availability of new trademarks, enforcement of trademark rights, and infringement matters and licensing.  Ms. Galgano is also involved with inter-partes opposition and cancellation proceedings and infringement litigation in the federal courts.

Ms. Galgano has a B.A. from The George Washington University where she graduated cum laude in 2005. Upon graduation, she worked in the publishing industry at Fodor’s Travel, National Geographic Traveler, Preservation Magazine and The Wilson Quarterly.
