Mrs. Doerler has over thirty-five years experience in the intellectual property field, serving in the roles of legal secretary, paralegal, administrative assistant and client liaison. Since 1983, Mrs. Doerler has worked with the firm's founder and principal, Thomas Galgano. Mrs. Doerler serves as records and calendar supervisor, overseeing the firm's roster of cases, including the docketing of all client matters and the monitoring of all attorney case dockets. Mrs. Doerler is also Head of the Trademark Renewals Department, in which she oversees the filing of all trademark renewals.
Ms. Grant, a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School, has been a legal secretary and administrative assistant for more than thirty years. Ms. Grant previously worked for several international companies, including Merrill Lynch and MasterCard International. Ms. Grant joined Galgano IP Law and its predecessor firm in 1996. Ms. Grant assists the attorneys in the drafting, preparing and filing of patent, trademark and copyright applications, licenses and related correspondence. Ms. Grant further provides litigation support in the drafting and filing of complaints, motions, pleadings and other court related documents.
Ms. Otero most recently joined the firm in 2017. Ms. Otero brings with her twenty years of legal administrative experience. Ms. Otero attended Queens College and the Court Reporting Institute, both located in New York. Besides previously serving as a court reporter, she also served as an executive legal assistant for partners in Graham, Campaign, P.C., Kane Kessler, P.C. and Kaye Scholer. Ms. Otero serves as a docket and formalities clerk in which she monitors the status of all U.S. and International patent and trademark filings for the firm.
Mrs. Galgano graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Foreign Languages and received her Masters Degree of Library Science from St. John's University. Mrs. Galgano started her career as Associate Librarian at Forbes magazine and has served as Manager of the Accounting Department for more than fifteen years. Mrs. Galgano is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Hungarian.
Allison Galgano joined the firm in 2013. Ms. Galgano graduated cum laude from LaSalle University, with a Bachelors of Arts degree and received her Masters Degree in Education from Molloy College. Ms. Galgano spent fifteen years in the field of Marketing, Advertising and Education Management. She serves as Office Manager, Information Technology Coordinator and Assistant Manager in the Accounting Department.
